Final Review :(

Day 4 has drawn to an end and what a wonderful week we have had together. We have got through so much and I’m 100% sure that everyone has had a brilliant time and learnt plenty.

Liam - “Even though the work we’ve done has been hard and gritty, I’ve enjoyed every second of being here. I can’t wait until tomorrow and seeing what we have achieved in less then a week. Thank you!”

Ashleigh - “I have had a brilliant time working with the young people. It has been a really good experience and I definitely would love to help out again. Everyone has been amazing and it will be lovely to see the finished product tomorrow :)”

If you’re interested, the final showing will be at the Watershed in town tomorrow at 1pm. Please come along and see what amazing things we have produced!!

Everyone looking like professionals while they edit the interviewing clips!

Because it was the last day of filming and editing, we had an exciting picnic in the garden and then a trip over to the park!!

Just a few pictures of the exciting morning we’ve had!

Early this morning me and Liam set off to gather some pictures for the credits to add a bit more of Barton Hill to the project. The early morning sun really set a good background for getting some stunning pictures!

Day 4!

Busy, busy, busy. Today we have been creating the title sequence for the completed film and lets just say that it has been messy! All of the young people have had an opportunity to paint one frame for the sequence and maybe more.

Even me and Liam got our hands dirty!

Day 3 review!

Day 3 is slowly drawing to an end and so much has been completed today.

We started the morning brushing up on our interviewing techniques and learning the main rules, eg. Don’t ask questions that lead to a dead-end. We split up into small groups and discussed what kind of questions would be really good to ask our guest interviewees for the “making-of” documentary. After lunch and a quick run around in the park, the guests arrived and the groups individually interviewed them to find out about life in Barton Hill. Once this was completed everybody sat down for a quiet sharing of ideas and developments to group everyone back together. This was followed by an another showing of the video and a quick tutorial on editing movies so that the young people can go away with some skills in film editing.

Tune in tomorrow for our last day of preparation before the final showing!!

Ashleigh and Liam :)
